Re:View

Review began in 2002. Its main focus is to give people the chance to try out new ideas. The films have been personal, funny and usually made in an afternoon as the idea took hold of the filmmakers imagination.

Films created by the group include...

Hollystreetenders and Ad Break by the group

An experiment in the editing of a soap opera and exploring the way in which many storyline strands are used to create a drama. The Ad Break was an experiment in fast cutting, cheesy jingles and the shameless marketing of Freezco Conkers to Mams!

Foot Ramping by Wayne Gregg
“I’m doing it for the love of the Lord . . . I don’t know what it means but I heard Eminem say it”
Foot ramper 2002

The new craze sweeping the nation - well, Wayne’s head anyway. One dark night after believing he had witnessed one of the greatest skaters ever, Wayne was shell-shocked to find the kid in question was simply running up and down ramps pretending to own a skateboard. The foot ramper was born! 7 minutes in the sad deluded life of a boy who believes he’s going places and that skating is actually much easier than his own distinctive sport.

Ethzilla by Hermione Pearson
“[My brother] Ethan has got this Godzilla outfit and I wanted to film him running round the park going mad”
Hermione Pearson 2003

One day Ethan is strolling through the park when a dangerous radioactive dinosaur toy bites him. A strange transformation occurs and Ethzilla is born. Chaos reigns and the body count piles up until its time to go back in for tea.

How to be a Punk by Damian Rose
“I want to make a film about a bloke dancing to the clash but I want it to look like it’s an old silent movie”
Damian Rose 2003

Performed to “Should I stay or should I go?” by the Clash, How to be a Punk takes in all those teenage tensions of looking cool, acting cool and trying to impress the ladies!
