we all face . . .
who do we love?
who shall we trust?

Thanks
so much for bringing your young actors company over to DT3
last week. Our Youth Theatre members thoroughly enjoyed
both productions and were very impressed by the skill and
ability of the company.
From the moment they arrived the young actors behaved as
a professional touring company, their attitude and commitment
to the get in, rigging and to warming up were 100 percent.
The team were very polite and treated our venue with the
upmost respect, approaching any potential problems or issues
with positivity and confidence.
The performances were different in style and form and both
were extremely engaging. The actors were skilled at ‘doubling
up’ and created effective and believable characters.
My personal favourite ‘Surfacing’ was beautifully
performed with pitch perfect characters and real clarity
of storytelling.
The fact that the company had rehearsed three plays in only
four weeks is a massive testament to all of their abilities
and they should feel confident in recognising themselves
as professional actors!
Thanks again for visiting DT3 and I’d like to personally
thank George and the tech team who made the whole day as
enjoyable and stress free as possible

I
really loved working on this project . . . it really helped
me in many ways. I got to meet some really
cool people and I got to have a laugh. I also worked
my buttocks off and learnt a lot.

The
young people involved acquitted themselves admirably, with
professionalism and maturity, and thoroughly deserved the
positive turnout and consistently generous comments from
the audience. Furthermore can I offer my appreciation to
Sarah and yourself, this was a bold adventure executed with
an obvious commitment and enthusiasm for work for, with
and by young people.

Artistic Director, Dukes Theatre, Lancaster

Ice Baby
I
enjoyed the play very much. What struck me about it was
how the whole thing seemed to emanate from the cultural
reference points of the audience. The language, the attitudes,
the story of the young mother caught between the carefree
life of her mates and the responsibilities of motherhood
– all seemed to be real to the audience. The play
seemed to be a collaboration in the best sense between two
groups of equal status – the writer and the other
professional artists on the one hand, and the young people
on the other.

Director, Quondam Theatre, Penrith
Surfacing
Entertaining,
though provoking and enthralling; I was highly impressed
by the young people's acting skills and characterisations.
The young people at Burnley Youth Theatre thoroughly enjoyed
the performance, responded positively to the issues and
were very impressed by the actors and the set.
