Workshops in May
and June with artists, Fenfen Huang, dancer and Noeline
Kavanagh, director and physical theatre practitioner.
Fenfen and Noeline collaborated, each
delivering 6 workshops on the creation of material through
devising processes, self choreographic and improvisational.
Fenfen used familiar and domestic movement as a basis for
dance work and Noeline looked at new vocal techniques and
physical theatre.
Fenfen Huang is
from near Shanghai and trained in classical Chinese dance
and ballet before coming to the UK to further her studies.
She is based in Liverpool were she is a dancer and community
dance practitioner.
Noeline Kavangh is a director from
Galway City with a wide experience of Community Theatre
which includes work with Macnas and the Basque company,
Els Commedients and UK companies, Welfare State International
and Walk the Plank.
At the end of
the Toolbox sessions we presented a showcase of work for
parents.
