Welcome to the world of physical theatre and visual gags.
In 2000 Barrow Deaf Drama group delighted audiences in Barrow
with their entirely wordless slapstick comedy Dangerous
Business.
Now they’re back with a new silent-movie style show
in which a group of elderly pensioners go on a mini-bus
trip and chaos follows them. Doin a Runner involves, among
other things, an accidental bank robbery, stolen police

Space
devised and performed by Ormsgill Young People's
Drama Group
Ormsgill Young Peoples Drama Group had the audience crying
with laughter when they performed their play Neighbears
as part of the Barramundi Festival. Although there have
been many changes within the group, what hasn’t changed
is their down to earth humour and vivid imaginations. Space
has been devised for the True North Festival and was very
well received when it showcased in 2000.
Everything starts to happen when dad goes away contracting
and Mam turns her Ormsgill council house into a bed and
breakfast with hilarious results . . . alien sightings,
disco fever and a visit from MI5 (or was it MFI?)
