Funny Ways
devised by Thomas Gawne, Jenna Fleet and
Jane Forsyth from CD-UK performed by True North Theatre
Company
Out of a series of taster workshops with trainees on CD-UK’s
life-skills course, emerged a small group who wanted to
go that little bit further and make a play.
Funny Ways is the result. The piece, based on real experiences,
is a light-hearted and touching story about the relationship
between a stroppy teenager and her granddad.

What do you get if
you put a group of adults aged between 23 and 60+ in a room
together, let them play drama games and give them a few
photographs? The answer is Meat, a farcical comedy set in
1950’s Barrow. TNT, the True North Theatre group have
devised and scripted this new play especially for the festival.
