Theatre Factory Apprentices
Theatre Factory Apprentices is a project which gives work experience to young people considering acting or stage management as a career. It is like joining a professional touring company so we hold auditions for this project every spring.
Young people joining Theatre Factory Apprentices commit to a 3 weeks rehearsal period followed by an 8 date tour of theatres and venues around the North.
And there’s more good news . . . there is a small weekly payment made to you for this project to cover your expenses
Details of our next production and audition dates will appear on the What's On page
An Assessor from the Arts Council had this to say about The Unpacking
The play was created and performed by a Northern creative team and cast, to a Northern audience, of similar-aged people. The Northern- nature (non London drama school) was important, showing these young people that opportunities do exist to train and forge a performing arts career outside London.
Meanwhile, here in Barrow-in-Furness, one woman is almost single-handedly providing alternative routes to a professional theatre career. More people should take note.
