Requiem for Paradise

The Apprenticed Actors Company in a new play by Joe Samaniego

'This isn’t our story to tell

But it’s a story in need

So we hold our breath and wait

Wait for the waves to crash

For our lovers to rise from the dead

For one last smile'

In May 2014 in Isla Vista, California a young man shot dead 6 people before turning the gun on himself.

This remarkable play examines what the incident tells us about our fractured society, and demands we find solutions to it's incessant cycle of violence.
